A William Carlos Williams Poem

Author’s note: In this poem I am trying to write like William Carlos Williams. The poem I looked at of his was  The Red Wheel Barrow. In this poem creates a clear picture in the reader’s mind. To him this image means something. He doesn’t tell the reader the significance of it; he lets the reader decide how they want to interpret it.

So much occurs
When
A sinful shameful
Person
Following the wrong
Path
Comes to the
Cross

  1. This is clearly influenced by Williams, and in that way the poem is a real success. The way that you brought out a theme that is really important to you is another way that it is successful. I'd like to see some more writing in this style since it is so clean, and short.

  4. To me, this length of poem seems harder because you have to explain something in very few words, but I think you did a great job brining religious significance into it. The poem was great and really stuck to the form!

  5. I read The Red Wheel Barrow and I can tell that yours was really inspired by his. I liked your poem a lot and it must have been hard to describe something in so little words.
